Akai: Should probably mention that this is unlike Continuum, which depends on Windows software [which should probably also be mentioned at Continuum].
Smong: Open systems? Is that like easily exploitable or something?
Akai: "open systems (eg. Unix/like)"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_system_(computing)
CypherJF: Shame that priit wouldn't help him when he needed it. Shame that it's incomplete and slightly not working. :/
Smong: For years the term was applied loosely... This sort of implies it is no longer just about linux. I don't know what Snrrrub's goals were, but it looks a lot like a linux only client to me.
Akai: Yes I'm not sure what his intentions are either, but afaik you have to go to considerable trouble to make a "Linux-only client" (a la Windows-only, anyways), since "Linux" is just a kernel with a ton of usually free & *open* source programs packaged with it to make it an operating system.
Akai: did Snrrrub actually tell you he's no longer working on it anymore, or are you just calling it an "old attempt" because you're happy to include assumptions?
Smong: I haven't been told anything. Looking at the link to his website I called it old. The file on SSDL hasn't been updated so it's an attempt.
