Who am I?

  • Currently at the time of this writing: I am a 22-year old who attended and graduated from a private college in Wisconsin, majoring in Software Engineering and Applied Mathematics [Interdisciplinary]. I originally started playing Subspace back when my brother, splat!!!!!!!, introduced me to it. That was back when Subspace 1.31 was available, and I was about what, 12 years old?
  • I've been around computers for the better part of my life. We originally had a Commodor 64, IBM Clone, Gateway 2000 [133mhz], and finally ended up landing with a Dell. I've seen CD-Roms introduced, original sound-blaster cards, 14.4 28.8 36.6 56 Kbps Modems, and much more.
  • Programming Experiences: eh? Started out with HTML, AOL's "CGI", then took on what I thought was "CGI" which really was the beginning of my Perl experience. Near the same time I was introduced to Visual Basic 5 (then later 6), and C++ (which I hadn't gotten very far into). I switched over to PHP after finding out how nice and easy it is to code, unlike Perl :). Having my experience with Perl, I was able to pick up and understand the two C++ courses I took while attending Penn State University. I then transfered schools and took on a year of Java. So in essence that's that.
  • I am now officially a Senior of Software Engineering and Applied Mathematics. Just recently completed courses of Programming Languages - theory and history; as well as a software design class where we were taught design patterns (singleton and observer - my fav's ;)), as well as UML/case diagrams. Graduating May 2006.
