In SubSpace, a Flag is a special object which is either used to win a flag game or just to score extra points, depending on the game type. The two primary flag game types are Turf and Basing (represented by subgame flag modes 2 and 1, respectively).
Turf
Turf is a flag mode in Continuum (and SubSpace) in which the flags are permanently assigned locations and team can capture enemy flags by going over them. Zones that use turf flag settings include Trench Wars and Death Star Battle. Turf is also sometimes used to refer to a type of zone (Ex: I made a cool new turf zone!).
