A .bm2 file is a image file for the game Subspace/Continuum. They are simply .bmp files with the extension renamed. Continuum can also recognize the .bmp extension, so you needn't bother renaming files when making LVZ.
You can open this file in any image editor that you wish. To create a bm2 file, either rename a file's extension from .bmp to .bm2, or while saving an image, type its full name inside of quotes. An example, would be "ships.bm2".
